To import your data into eImpact you'll need to first format your table. Often when we manage our our tables we store information in what is called a "wide" format. It makes the data easy on the eyes but not so easy for high tech applications like eImpact to read. Here's an example of a wide format:



To get our data ready for eImpact we'll need to do some flip flopping. Our data needs to be in a "long" format. Here's how this same information needs to be formatted for eImpact:


Be sure to pay attention to those field names too. They will appear just as you have them in your uploaded data so you might want to tweak them for public consumption.


Once you have your data formatted as above you are ready to convert the file to a CSV (comma separated value) file format. You can easily do this in Excel using the Save As option.
